Some days – hey, many days – call for a good dessert. Whether you’ve had a rough week at work or at home, looking to party or just looking for a night on the town, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best desserts Champaign-Urbana has to offer. We asked our readers for help and your suggestions certainly did not disappoint. In fact, we’ve added a few to our list to try out. As always, we seek to support local businesses in our food tours, so while some of our large restaurant chains have tasty options, we are focusing on our local restaurateurs and bakeries.

Art market, 1705 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign: “I used to drive from West Champaign to downtown Urbana at least twice a week when I was pregnant with Art marketoatmeal and raisin cookies. Perfect for those days when you need a little extra chocolate in your life.

Cooking laboratory, 410 N. Lincoln Ave., Urbana: “Bake Lab’s pastry chef makes some of the most unique desserts I have ever seen or tasted. “Bakelab’s croissants and fruit pies are my new favorites.”

Homage to the Seven Saints Ding Dong

Seven Saints, 32 E. Chester St., Champaign: With desserts from Cake Artist’s Studio, Seven Saints doesn’t disappoint on the dessert selection.
