Potbelly sandwich shop expands in Tampa

Potbelly is making rapid progress in its franchise growth acceleration initiative with two signed agreements that will bring a total of 14 new stores to the Tampa, Florida area. This sandwich shop does more than just tasty subs. Potbelly Sandwich Shop serves wild cold milkshakes, lemon cheesecake cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip dream bars and huge breakfast sandwiches.

STA Management is the owner/operator group responsible for opening the 14 locations in Tampa-St. St. Petersburg region over the next five years.

Potbelly expands with new drive-thru sandwich shops

The group already has two Potbelly locations in the area – one on Falkenburg Road and the other in the retail and foodservice center adjacent to Raymond James Stadium and George Steinbrenner Ground. The group is well equipped to oversee restaurants as multi-brand owners and operators of over 60 restaurants.

Open franchise opportunities in Florida

As part of the franchise growth acceleration initiative, Potbelly plans to reach 2,000 units, of which at least 85% will be franchised stores over the next 10 years. The brand also plans to refranchise approximately 25% of its corporate stores. Earlier this year, Potbelly announced a strategic partnership with REEF, the largest operator of virtual restaurants, logistics platforms and convenience in North America. This partnership, along with the two agreements announced today, has put Potbelly firmly on the right track.
