Carol, what’s next season 11?
Carol Peletier is one of the two remaining original characters from the first season of The Walking Dead. Carol and Daryl, played by Melissa McBridge and Norman Reedus, are the only survivors from the first season. Both characters have a tragic past that shaped them into the people they are today. They share a bond that can never be broken.
Carol began as a battered wife who suffered verbal and physical abuse from her husband Ed (Adam Minarovich). The moment she was able to wipe years of frustration off her corpse with that pickaxe was the moment she began her transformation. Several years later, we see a strong and capable woman who will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves.
In the final season of the series, will we continue to see this remarkable woman fight? Or will the weight of the world bring it down?
The Walking Dead Carol Peletier
In Season 10, Carol was willing to sacrifice her life for all the communities by volunteering to take Lydia’s place in leading the Whisperers’ horde off a cliff. This is just one example of Carol’s dedication to her friends and family. She is always the first to want to do the hard things when others hesitate.
In season 10c, she and Daryl are at odds, but that often happens with relationships, and the bond these two share will allow things to straighten out with a little time.
In the first part of Season 11, Carol has already proven that she’s still on track to get the job done. She killed the horses to keep the people of Alexandria from starving.
Carol also tried to make sense of Aaron as he walked down a very dark path. She knows firsthand how making certain decisions can affect your life.
In the trailer, for the second part of this season, Carol works in the Commonwealth Bakery, and everyone knows what happens when Carol bakes cookies. She seems to have acclimated to her role in the Commonwealth, but viewers remember how she did something similar upon arriving in Alexandria. Carol’s exterior doesn’t always match what’s on the inside. She’s great at role playing to figure out what’s really going on in any situation.
The hope is that the Commonwealth will be the answer to many problems in Alexandria, but from the first look at the community, it becomes apparent that all is not as it seems.
