Amazon Gluten Free Snacks

I discovered that I had celiac disease quite late in my life. While that’s probably not good for my gut, it’s much worse for my taste buds which had already gotten used to how good food tastes when it’s loaded with gluten. As a result, the transition to gluten-free snacks has been a little more difficult than I initially imagined. It turns out that these gluten-free snack companies basically rely on you not remembering how good food tastes, so they assume that anything with crunch will do. But not me! I remember every bite, and gluten-free or not, flavor is just as important to me.

All this to say that after several months of grueling trial and error, I have finally found a number of gluten-free snacks that are not only bearable, but actually taste great. good (and by that I mean they taste just as good as gluten-rich snacks.) Some of these snacks will be pleasant surprises that are naturally gluten-free, while others are great imitations of foods I once loved. Either way, they helped save my stomach and taste buds all at once. Scroll below to discover the best gluten-free snacks to stock your pantry.

Starting with a reliable classic, Cheetos were made gluten-free without any changes to the original recipe. It has to be one of the greatest life-saving snacks on the market today with its out-of-this-earth cheese flavor and classic crunchy texture. It can be hard to live in a gluten-free world, but it’s much harder to live in a world where you can’t lick orange cheese dust off your fingers like a wild animal after hunting.

Unlike Cheetos, Gluten-Free Oreos have some slight modifications from the classic cookie recipe. However, I just can’t tell you how much they taste like the original flavor. I really wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the original Oreos and the gluten free variety which is simply the highest mark of praise I can give a gluten free snack. The cookies also come in the iconic Double-Stuf style, which means you can lick all the filling without feeling a shred of shame.

Snyder’s of Hanover Gluten-Free Pretzel Sticks

Pack of 2

I’ll be honest with you now, these aren’t perfect. Snyder’s of Hanover gluten-free pretzel sticks definitely taste and texture a little different than those loaded with gluten. That being said, these are still pretty good. The pretzel sticks still have a nice honest crunch, are coated in rock salt, and work well dipped in hummus. I don’t know what more you could ask for from a pretzel stick. Snyder’s of Hanover also offers a classic mini pretzel option as well as a larger pretzel rod option for those with really bold pretzel beliefs.

Tate’s Bake Shop Gluten Free Ginger Cookies

Tate’s Bake Shop is basically royalty for the crunchy cookie community. Almost all of their cookies at one point or another ended up in my mouth and I can’t say I regret a single one. The company now offers three different gluten-free cookies, but arguably the best of these three cookies is Tate’s Bake Shop Gluten Free Ginger Zinger Cookies. This ginger-style cookie contains real chunks of candied ginger and really is a great cookie even without the gluten-free caveat. The chocolate chip coconut cookies are also worth a try if ginger isn’t your thing.

Popcorners Snacks Gluten Free Potato Chips

Assortment of varieties

Popcorn has been a reliable alternative to certain types of chips or crackers that are no longer on the table if you’ve gone gluten-free. What really makes the chips worth it is the clarity with which the company has focused on flavor. Popcorners chips come in a number of unique flavors that actually taste pretty amazing. I mean, when it comes to flavored chips, it’s actually reasonable to put Popcorners in the conversation for the best overall flavors. My personal favorites are Kettle Corn and Sweet Chili.

KIND Peanut Butter Breakfast Bars

Pack of 32

Many breakfast bars contain gluten, which can be especially difficult if you’re trying to eat something quickly when you go out. Luckily, KIND Peanut Butter Breakfast Bars are your answer. There’s nothing particularly special about them, but that’s kind of the point. They taste and feel just like any other quick breakfast bar in the morning, which has helped normalize my more restricted daily eating habits. The breakfast bars also come in several other flavors if you’re not a big fan of peanut butter.

Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers

One of the toughest losses after going gluten-free was crackers. Almost every gluten-free cracker I’ve tried since then has the consistency and flavor of plastic that has dried in the sun. The one notable exception to this was Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers. These crackers are the closest thing I’ve tasted to a traditional wheat-based cracker. Fine ground salt is probably the best of the bunch, but if you want something with a bolder flavor, the company has a number of other options.

Zapp’s New Orleans Voodoo Flavor Potato Chips

Pack of 42

One of the luckiest benefits of being gluten-free is that there are still plenty of high-quality potato chips out there that you can eat without fear. With much more flexibility in the field, it’s easier to just choose a product you like instead of just replacing a product you liked before. Zapp’s New Orleans Voodoo Flavor Potato Chips are truly my favorite potato chips to eat. They have a mild yet spicy flavor and a deeply satisfying crunch that just isn’t matched by some of the biggest names in potato chips. If you haven’t tried them, this is your sign to do so.

The Good Crisp Company Gluten Free Potato Chips

Pack of 8

For the Pringles lovers among us, you’ll be disappointed to learn that the Original Stacked Potato Chip isn’t actually gluten-free. However, you won’t have to do without them because The Good Crisp Company’s gluten-free potato crisps are an almost identical replacement for Pringles. The Good Crisp Company also offers a variety of classic flavors including Sour Cream and Onion, as well as Outback BBQ and Aged White Cheddar. Plus, it’s always fun to get your chips out of the big, skinny canisters.

Bear Naked Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Granola Bites

One of my favorite snacks for pretty much any time of the day, Bear Naked Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Granola Bites can be used as a breakfast option, a midday snack, or even for snacks. late-night cravings without even thinking about it. The granola bites are absolutely delicious and actually aren’t that bad for you, so don’t feel too bad if you finish the bag. Bear Naked has a number of granola bites flavors worth trying, but there’s something about the dark chocolate and sea salt that hits the mark perfectly.
